About Us
Abundant Life Center – Malawi started as a Calling from God through prayer for communities to serve holistically using the Jesus Threefold ministry; FEED, TEACH and Heal. The motivation derives from the childhood challenges that Moses went through growing up, raised in a polygamous family, his father was abusive, drunkard and cared less about supporting his children. God used different people to help Moses get an education. From this suffering Moses vowed to stop this poverty cycle in his family and his communities. After studying community development Leadership at the Coady Institute in Canada, Moses returned home energized to mobilize communities to develop themselves using the locally available resources; it took the support, prayer and encouragement of friends around the globe for the ministry to take off.
Today, Moses Njobvu who is the founder and project team leader, oversees all daily activities at Abundant Life Center— Malawi, with the support of local board, community volunteers and chiefs. Over the years the ministry has partnered with Northwest Hills UMC in San Antonio, Texas, New Sharon UMC in Iowa, Lighthouse Church in Texas, Chapelwood United Methodist in Huston, Links International, Hilltop UMC in Salt Lake, Friends of the Great Commission, and many other churches, friends and family.
Our Ultimate vision is to have a children’s village where children will find HOPE, educated, cared for, discipled and mentored to grow into what God created them to be, we have managed to construct a community clinic which is reaching thousands of people, we have constructed five children’s homes which will house orphans and vulnerable children.
24 full time employed staff, 56 community volunteers, 160 youth members, 250 Pastors and church leaders, 210 widows Partnering with 98 traditional chiefs. Each day, they make the lives of each little child and community member a little easier and come closer and closer to realizing the vision of transforming one life at a time.
